Workshop April & May 2021: Learn how sustainable design can add value to your products and strengthen your brand
We have created an online only workshop due to the pandemic that targets Small and Medium-Sized Creative Businesses, Designers and Crafters. We will dive into sustainable design principles including technical and non-technical options to better your brand in the context of Mauritius. We will also look at global design/tourism trends and expectations of local customers as well as tourists so that you can be ready when they return to the island. Finally we will look at how to do storytelling around your brand to make sure your brand and your sustainable features stand out.
The workshop will be held over the course of 5 weeks with assignments each week to support you further develop your sustainable brand during the course and provide you with more tools to take your sustainability goals further if you choose to.

TIME: Wednesdays 1 – 4pm; (5 x 3 hour sessions)

Improving Sustainaible Tourism In Mauritius through Greening the Value Chain of Tour Operators (SUS-ISLAND) is a Switch Africa grand project funded by the European Commission and led by Mauritius Tourism Authority. Its objective is to promote sustainaible tourism in Mauritius by demonstration and scaling up a self-sustaining mechanism for improving sustainaibility impacts along the value chain improving awareness and market of sustainaible tourism products.
