DMC Mautourco Adopts New Sustainability Strategy

As the first pilot destination management company, Mautourco started its sustainable innovation journey with the SUS-ISLAND team in September 2018. After an interactive and inspiring 4- day workshop with the management team, 6 core sustainability principles were developed and implemented throughout the company´s operations. Now, this strategy is turned into action by the internal sustainability team who are fully supported and empowered by Richard Robert, CEO of Mautourco.

As part of this strategy, a new sustainable product line will officially be launched at the world’s largest tourism fair – ITB in Berlin, together with pilot partner Beachcomber and DER Touristik, the official tour operator partner of the SUS-ISLAND project.

In early 2020, other interested DMCs and tour operators in Mauritius are invited to join the SUS-ISLAND vision to develop Mauritius as a leading sustainable tourism destination. Come on board to learn from international experts and local leaders on how to develop your own unique sustainable strategy, that serves you, your employees, your guests and your island.
